December Currently with Gratitude

december currently

loving …family time that is much overdo.

studying …Old Navy’s return policy.  I purchased a slew of Cyber Monday finds, but not all were diamonds.

enjoying …mood lighting created by the sunrise and Christmas lights

preparing …for the Christmas extravaganza by wrapping presents and putting them under the tree.

wondering …how long I could sustain drinking half regular/half decaf coffee.  I stayed with family while visiting my hometown, and they only drink the deluded stuff.  Who are these people??  I feel like I’ve met them for the first time.  I wondered why I was drinking cup after cup and not feeling more awake.  I love my family, but this is some foolishness.

laughing …at myself because of the glee I feel in seeing the full DVR, brimming with Bravo shows for days!!!

reading …Andy Cohen’s book, Most Talkative

Andy Cohoen

listening …to the first episode of the podcast, Serial, mostly because of the hype.

thinking …about my goals for 2015

feeling …nostalgic.  Visiting my hometown and family whom I have not seen in about one year makes me think about years gone by.  I love my family, weird coffee preferences and all, and this trip to Michigan has reminded me of how important they all are to me.

December Kickoff

Welcome to December

I could not be happier that today is December 1st.  I love the first of the month in any time frame, but December carries with it a heightened sense of family, joy, contentment, and enthusiasm.  It could be that December includes Christmas, my birthday, and a reduced number of work days ::cough, cough 13 cough, cough::.  Focusing on what is most important about December 1st, the kickstart of a new month, I want to establish my Currently and monthly goals.

  1. Stay a week ahead on my SNHU classes.  There are 10 modules per term and I’ve been able to maintain a 1-module lead.
  2. Run four days a week.  I have two half marathons this month: the Divas Half and Jacksonville Beach Half MarathonScreen Shot 2014-12-01 at 8.02.09 AM
  3. Gratitude is the Attitude!  I want to make sure that I take the inspiration that I’ve been given by the special friends and family in my life that have shown me how to be kind, considerate, and grateful no matter what obstacles are placed before them and incorporate that in my life.  I know that I’m not unique in my tendencies to focus on the empty part of the class, but that doesn’t mean that I have to stay that way.  I will make this goal measurable by writing down three things that make me happy every day in my Bullet Journal.

The weather appears to be ideal for running.  The race begins at 7am, but I will need to arrive by 6 to get my packet.

reading a heavy selection from this pile:

listening to Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy in the background as I schedule out my day and blog entry

praying that my friends and family are happy.

wishing I had more hours in the day, but grateful for the things that fill up the ones that I get

feeling excited about the race tomorrow!
