America’s past time – Baseball. The town that celebrates all the accomplishments and groundbreaking events of the boys of summer is Cooperstown. The Baseball Hall of Fame is nestled in downtown, a mere block or two from where we were staying. It also happens to be the same quaint and charming home to the “White House Inn Bed & Breakfast” run and operated by my extended family.
I couldn’t believe how gorgeous the entire town of Cooperstown was. It was street after street of homes that fell into the same time period and elegance of this B&B. What was truly amazing was that I would be experiencing this town and all it had to offer with my sisters and their families and, of course, Dear Hubby. He was in heaven! The entire town is devoted to one of his favorite sports: baseball. In fact, the White House Inn is quite popular with the players who are inducted into the Hall of Fame. The wall that leads upstairs is covered with signatures and well wishes for the host and hostess, Ed and Marge.
Here were our two favorites, one from Sparky Anderson and Babe Ruth’s granddaughter.
The first night in town, we all gathered around the backyard of the White House Inn and enjoyed family time, and my brother-in-law’s birthday.
